And that's JT Snow ... there was a discussion last inning about how much gear he bought this weekend from the Arizona team store. I'm not kidding.

Lousy call again.
Do you have to evade the pitch? Clearly he didn't move into it.

The radio broadcast said the umps said it hit the knob of the bat rather than the batter.

Wayne not happy. I agree with OCO.

There we go. Double-digit hits for the 8th consecutive game. Our 10th hit in the 5th inning by Gray. I'd be thrilled if I wasn't so livid at these umps. 4-2 Rice is way too close considering how we've lost our 3 games.

I'm pretty sure I'm not in the game (and I don't have any relatives who should be pitching at the college level)

I actually like him arching his back up a bit but can't get tossed. And yes - appeared to be a huge overreaction by HP umpire.

Really want this one today.

Rice needs some swag. Stainy's a favorite.

Did we ever find out if Byrd was hurt, or cramped on a play at either second or third yesterday?

I get the L/R thing and all ... but just a crazy decision.

Seems like umps blow another call on the left first base too early subject.
Rice the beneficiary this time.
I'm not impressed with this officiating crew.

TV replay shows Rice got a break on the inning-ending too-early tag-up call. Runner did not leave first base too early.
