RE: Gameday: NIU
Monster half from Talley. 19 points! That would make a good game.
Ward good half too, and on both sides of the ball.

Decent team defense for EMU. NIU looking really sloppy on their own.

And that is where we stand. 16 point lead at the half.

Ugly: NIU is in the bonus with 16:02 to go in 2nd half... Trouble brewing.

EMU has such a tendency to fall apart...
But big 3 from Lee.

ESPN3 announcer says as the buzzer sounds for the end of the game "Well, it wasn't exactly a Picasso..."

Sometimes stats DO tell the story:

EMU 14, NIU 4 in fast break points.

That is a puny number... A grinder game, foul fest.

Tuesday's game will be much, much different!!

Of course we win our first conference road game when I had no clue what's going on. Well done fellas! Sounds like Talley had a hell of a game.

Ward and Talley both had big games on both ends of the floor. Talley slowed down a little in the second half. But came through big towards the end.

Lee had a forgettable first half. But in the second half he made some determined and critical shots exactly when EMU was desperate for a make. Such as at when momentum would swung in NIU's favor. Good show of leadership. EMU needs that from him.

This was pretty much a 3 person team tonight, with a few nice plays from others sprinkled in here and there.

Murphy is now 9-2 against NIU and has beaten them at least twice every year. If only we could play them 18 times instead of the rest of the conference...we'd be pretty awesome.

Super, is your cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) half full or half empty?

The game was a 'tale of two halves', the first half was beautiful EMU ball.

The 2nd half was fouls, fouls, fouls, etc. Ugly.

We won on the road.

Did you watch both halves?

07-coffee3 My cup was 60% full last night. Won the first half. Lost the second half. Won the game.

Some might think as we won the game, the 07-coffee3 should be maybe 2/3 or 3/4 full.

Win is all that really matters.

A cup is always full just sure what of most of the time. As with most of the games this year a tale of 2 halfs. If a cup starts out empty then its half full if the cup starts out full then its half empty. A truely meaningless statement that can be twisted and turned. I look at what it takes to win and this team and i use that word loosely doesn't have it. The lack of asts points to a lack of any type of team offense. we're the 2nd worst in the mac and one of the worst in NCAA when it comes to assts. Niu is or was the worst. Yes i watched the whole game and the only we won is because niu didnt want it.

Do they give assists on FTs? 03-lmfao

When teams score a lot of points on FTs, assists go down.

Lot of this stuff is mathematical formulas... 03-idea
