Rice and ECU have agreed to a series home and away, to start playing next year. No word yet on if it is a mid week or 3 game weekend series.

I think it is the 2nd or 3rd weekend next year. First weekend we are in Austin for 4 games.

Considering the distance I would assume it would be a weekend series. Very few, if any, schools travel that far for a 2 game midweek series unless it's part of their spring break travel.

With both conferences make up, I could see a mid week. Rice having Marshall, Charlotte and ODU in the east and ECU having UH and Tulane in the west. Rice for example could play UNC/State on a Tues. and ECU on a Wednesday, then play either Charlotte or ODU that weekend. Same for ECU, LSU, Ole Miss on a Tues., Rice on a Wednesday, then Tulane on the weekend. I get the class time issue and. I hope that is a weekend series. But, I know Cliff is working on some series with SEC teams.

I'm pretty pumped about this news. I loved playing Rice in baseball even though it didn't always turn out so well for the Pirates. I would love to see USM get on the schedule at some point too.

On the scale of sauces, this is a hot sauce. I hope Rice gives 'em what-for, but I'm sure it will be a valuable experience for both teams.

Look forward to it. Would have to think it's a pre-conference weekend.
Good luck to you guys this season.

Sorry, we are busy going 0-2-1 in a tournament with Nicholls State, North Florida, and St. Louis. We don't have time for ECU.
Please note my facetiousness.

Man sounds like you guys need a change there, much like we did. We know the pain.

3 or 4-game weekend series, and this was agreed to last October. Next year we play 4 OOC weekends-- at Texas x 4, home vs. UCF, home vs. ECU and the Minute Maid tournament.

We badly need a change. Berry has ran our program into the ground.
