Take Houston and the 7, UC has no idea how to guard the 3-point line.

Cats roll UH...they are too busy kissing B12 feet to care about this game. Plus they will have 5 people in attendance, no home court.

Big 12 isn't thinking about Houston lol. That is just their chairman being desperate.

They aren't at the top, but they are in the mix

Realistically everyone in the conference, except maybe Tulsa, and half the MWC is "in the mix".

UC is projecting a 9seed now by Lunardi. We lose this game tonight and I think you can kiss the ncaa goodbye for UC. This is do or die for the Cats. Actually, pretty much all of them are from here on out. We used up or special grace cards with the loses to ECU and Tulane.....that well is dry now; no room for error.

Coming from a person who lives in the footprint... There is very little public or media push to add new members to the BIG 12. There is absolutely no realistic talk about who potential additions would be.

However the rankings of attractiveness to people in this footprint would probably be

BYU and Cincy or no expansion. They don't want or need a school with historically terrible football or basketball when their ratings are doing just fine.

Every other school is either to far 'in' or 'out' of the footprint and has a mediocre history of football or basketball. (or both... I'm looking at you Tulane)

There is no such thing as a footprint anymore in college conferences.

That's ignorant. Yes, the size of conference footprints have expanded a bit with the big 12 and WV as well as Maryland and the Big 10 but there's still a limit to how far a conference is willing to go.

But don't worry... You guys can keep thinking that. After the Big 12 is filled (which I still doubt it will be) UCF can lobby for entrance into the PAC 12... Because there's "no such thing as footprint anymore"

Then I assume you're ruling BYU out entirely for the Big 12.. because a conference that stretches from Morgantown to SLC is exactly what you just described.

Went went on a 17-3 run damn. We didn't we play like this in the first game? That was really our only bad conference loss.

Also the KLC having to be shuffled around likely didn't help the attendance today. Went from everything flowing to fans likely choosing one (baseball) over the other (basketball) since basketball is on TV.

To watch Duke who isn't even playing until later!

They were just promoting the next hour of Gameday really, but did you expect anything different from ESPN?

RE: 2/21 AAC Games
Hopefully people who prefer live sports to talking heads stayed and watched some of the first half. Good exposure for USF and ECU being the only game on.

I'm really excited about the future of our program if Lebo can keep us from having any key players transfer away and quit starting so slow every season. We would crush some of those teams we lost to earlier if we played them now.

BYU is the best team available in terms of overall success in FB & BBall. They bring by far the largest fanbase they aren't terribly far from the Oklahoma / Kansas schools. They're better than most academically.

Cincy is close(ish) to Iowa State, WV, KU + KSU, plus it's another school with recent and ongoing FB + BB success and good academics + attendance.

No other schools have all of those factors.
