I am sure Frazier would not be bashful about making that call once the official campaign is kicked off since DD would not likely be donating $500k+.

I think the thing that struck me the most at the Orange Bowl was the presence of Coachs Novak, Kill and Doeran checked in the Fontinbleau Hotel and at the game displaying a real snese of pride.

That was awesome... camera actually pans to both Kill and Doeren during the game and I was able to shake Novak's hand right before kick off.... what a cool dude..

Kinda surprising since NC State was only 3-5 in ACC. Thought they'd wait one more season.

I hope he sends Jordon Lynch a nice Christmas card. DD making 2 million a year and JL still looking for a job.

NC STate has not had success in hanging on to their coaches, they probably figured a Doeren in the hand is better than 2 prospective coaches in the bush.

Winning their bowl game against a favored 9-3 UCF team, with the 3rd youngest team in the nation, and a 4 game improvement from the previous season, probably had a lot to do with it.

Their non-conference games: G. Southern, Old Dominion, USF and Presbyterian. This coming year non-conference: Troy, East Kentucky, at Old Dominion and at S.Alabama.

Sure it's an improvement, but it certainly doesn't deserve an extension. They weren't competitive at all against the good teams in the ACC, outside of one good quarter against FSU. Clemson 41-0. GA Tech 56-23. Didn't beat BC. Didn't beat Louisville. Had a good game against UNC & UCF. That's it.

Dude....it's NC State, not USC. They won 4 of their last 5, had one of the youngest rosters in the country, and put together a really good recruiting class.

It's not 'low expecatations,' it's realistic expectations of a new Coach. They ended the season strong, and I do see next year being an even better season for them.

I think DD is an outstanding coach. It's just idiotic for ADs to extend contracts early and plenty of dumb ADs do it. What happens if NCState once again cant beat the average teams in the ACC? By year 3, he should be able to do that.

He has a long way to go before he is grouped with the best in college football. Don't get ahead of yourself there sir, wouldn't want to cause an uproar.
