Brian Williams is an anchor delivering the news. His credibility is crucial. O'Reilly has an opinion/talk show. Those are vastly different roles.

If he lied his ass off like Williams, he needs to be punished in some way. I love Fox, but I have never been an O'Reilly fan. I would love it if they moved Hannity into his spot.

Does the Falkland Islands conflict really count as a war zone? I've always pictured it sort of as The Mouse That Roared film - a little tiny country declaring war and quickly surrendering before anything actually happens.

Oh, no, not at all. It was very much a war zone. Brits won overwhelmingly in the end, but it was touch and go in any number of ways. Sandy Woodward has acknowledged that if they had ever lost one of their aircraft carriers, they would have had no choice but to fold their tents and go home.

Ok, as per the Spin Room rules, accusations were made.

Several "conservative" posters (including myself) not only expressed openess to the allegations, but went further with saying that, if true, such allegations should be damning and have repercussions, including one of the most prolific conservative posters on these boards.

I post a rebuttal article with ZERO commentary, and now the accusation is the con wagons are circled and the "right wing media" is in full force.

Please, as per Spin Room rules, support your accusations. I await your response. I personally think O'Reilly embellishes due to a huge ego; but instead of accusations, please counter the rebuttal submitted.
