UNCW announcer said it was probably UNCW's toughest game at home. Yup.

Video feed is from UNCW. Seems to be OK so far. Fingers crossed.
Video quality is not as good as some of the other Stretch broadcasts I have seen which is probably
why it is working OK.

Brian

Let's bash Stretch for a moment since the game is well under control. I remember we had this same sort of picture with the MBB game down in Wilmington and I'll take it all day long over the slide show we get when we produce a video. We also had a similar quality when the CofC produced the video. Why is it so difficult to duplicate what these guys do with their production. We get the best quality when we play at W&M and UD, both of those schools use Neulion.

Seems to be a lower quality video which can be a bit difficult to watch from some angles but as you stated I will take
this over the usual ultra HD slide show we usually get.

Wish there was some way we could lower the quality of the feed, wonder if that would solve all the issues we
are having.

Ohhh just your run of the mill 36 point bashing. So many weapons in such a weak league. Need to dominate at Show Place.

I don't know, but I'd sure like to give it a shot. I just now watched the final couple of minutes of the UD MBB game using Delaware's Neulion, I'd say it was just about the same quality we just saw at UNCW with our girls. At least with that picture I'm not wanting to abandon ship as I do with our production.

RE: WBB vs UNCW 2/19/15
My wife and I were a couple of the dozen or so JMU fans in attendance. Their attendance for women's games is always bad, but tonight was really awful. You can peg that up to the fact that it's 22 down here and we're not used to cold weather. Probably about 150 people in total including fans and cheerleaders. JMU fans were pretty loud the whole game.

We shot terribly in the first half, but played pretty good defense throughout. We really heated up in the second half. Hall was awesome. Hailee was a little cold to start, but had the hot hand towards the end. I haven't watched the women play that much this year, but the wife and I were EXTREMELY impressed with Ashley. She was working her butt off the whole game, flying all over the court. She had some great breakaway shots and assists. We also took advantage of their sloppy play in the second half and forced a TON of fouls. We were in the bonus 5 minutes into the second half. It was interesting to watch how much he switches players in and out. After the first 10 minutes or so it seemed like there wasn't a single player other than Carley that didn't make it into the game every 5 minutes or so. Would have liked to see Carley get some more minutes considering we were up by 40, but in Kenny I trust. This entire team is so solid. This is the best JMU team from top to bottom that I've ever seen.

Me too, and I think we have her for two more years.

Indeed. Just went to the roster to check. Very good news.

when we were drubbing UD at home last weekend by 30 or 40 in the 2nd at one point our row of fans were wondering why Carly doesn't get much playing time. For a minute someone thought she might have gotten redshirted, well then Kenny put her in the game. Like 2008 said - in Kenny I trust!

I trust as you do, it still makes you curious. One thing about red shirting, it can still be done if a player does not exceed playing in 20% of the contest.

RE: WBB vs UNCW 2/19/15
Re Carly not getting much playing time I seem to recall listening to one of Kenny's post game or Monday pressers and was asked about Carly. He kind of stated that she was having some difficulty in getting acclimated to the college game and it was showing in practice etc. With Kenny, it appears that he puts a lot of stock in how well people practice, not only skills but attitude and intensity. That being said I think you will see Carly getting more playing time next year.

What I am wondering about is Candice Williams. I saw her on crutches a few games ago at the Convo. She has only played in one game so far this season so I would think she would be redshirted, especially with the knee issue she has. Have not heard anything along those lines though.

JMU WBB this season has basically been a team of 10 players (with 12 listed on the roster). Given that WBB is allowed 15 full scholarships, the question is why does JMU (or KB) choose not to fill out the roster?

Could it be money??? I'm just asking..

Could it be that he likes to keep a couple scholly's untouched in case a ringer comes available? This is basically what transpired with Perez. He had heavily recruited her, she said she was in tears when she informed him of her choosing St. Johns. It didn't take her long to realize JMU should have been her first choice.

I don't see Destiny Campbell on that article (though it is from November), but her profile at ESPN (http://espn.go.com/high-school/girls-bas...y-campbell) shows that she still has a verbal with us. If true, that's a six player recruiting class.

Aneah Young looks to me like the standout from this class. I'd love to see an updated list, but I can't seem to find anything from later than November for some reason.

With the class coming in and Toia and Lady graduating, assuming everyone stays the roster next year will be 15.

Haven't seen that before!!
