EDIT: I should add to the OP that UCF Knight fans are mainly upset because it seems South Florida is getting more ESPN tv time than UCF even though South Florida has had back to back losing seasons.

UC is hosting the U, hence 1 of their Thursday night games (better than UCF's schedule). Otherwise, they have 2 conference games on Thursday/Friday.

Those games have been great for UC over the years.

Knight Fans are pissed South Florida has 3 ESPN Friday Night games. Taggart's USF has had 2 back to back losing seasons and is getting more respect than a 2 time champion UCF Knights.

The question is what games are on the other weekends. You may be going up against top teams from other conferences playing each other on a Thursday or Friday and it was just unlucky this year.

I doubt it hurts them as much as UC's AD and President actively talking about wanting to be out of the AAC and into a P5 conference has pissed of Aresco.

It could be worse. We had 3 ESPN-3 games last year.

I don't see how getting a game on Friday night = more respect than a nationally televised Saturday game.

Thursday's aren't as good as they were with the NFL playing on all of those nights now.

unique position, most people are complaining about weekday games and he is doing the opposite and actually comlaining that they arent getting enough

Friday night ESPN Prime-time has next nothing to compete with

Saturday is Power 5 territory and we wont get Prime-time, at best we are looking for ESPN at noon kickoff. Most likely scenario is that we are on CBSSN or some other form of garbage like ESPN3 or ESPNNews.

Right now there is no commitment for Saturday national tv. It just says our games will be on a Saturday.

So yea, Friday night ESPN has become the BCS Buster time slot. I'll take Friday night over Saturday poop slot.

The conference needs to push more than just 1 or 2 teams so I am ok with it. As long as we don't play a bunch of Saturday noon games, this works out much better for the fans and their tailgates. I am a bit surprised after 2 straight years of week day nail biters that UCF vs houston is on a weekend.

I would think that would be a mistake, but I don't know Orlando sports. I know in Cincinnati HS football is extremely important (which I would think all over Florida it would be that way too) and UC has trouble drawing against the big local HSs. UC does not like home Friday night games and I'd guess they've let the conference and TV people know that.

LOL. I remember when coaches used to cry about Friday night games and going vs high school games. Anyways this GOL being GOL he needs to be mad about something and once again UCF being slighted and nasty USF is a part of it.
