Academic redshirts coming in 2016
I saw the term "academic redshirt" mentioned in this article:

http://coachingsearch.com/article?a=Kyle...bility-but

and a quick search found this:

http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recrui...reate-term

Eligibility requirements are being increased and the second article says 40% of current D1 players would not qualify under the new rules. Quite a change.

Making freshmen ineligible isn't going to work. Miss St AD wants to give five years of eligibility which sort of makes sense - http://www.sbnation.com/college-football...fifth-year

It'll be nice when they finally make the student part optional. Then worries about eligibility or (academic) cheating can go bye-bye.
