OK, 3-0 and headed to Kansas City...

It seems to me seeing the highlights on the news that we are hitting the 3s and seeing improvement each game in Josh Gonner and Tarence Kinsey.

We got Campbell, The Citadel, Clemson, Temple and Charleston Southern before we face a heavy in NC State at home. I feel that we can beat at least 3 of these which will keep us with at least 6 wins before Christmas. SC State and App State will likely be wins, but I think Yale will give us a tough time after Christmas before the SEC play starts on Jan. 7 with Florida.

If we have 8 wins, along with Howell back I think we could possibly steal a SEC win by late January (Auburn or Vanderbilt)

Anyway, I see at least 18 tough games overall that I do not think we can win - Dave has got his work cut out for him and if he loses to Clemson like Lou and Susan - fans will be in an uproar until we meet on the diamond next year. I don't see how Dave can win with his squad in Clemson this year - especially after Purnell and his squad crushed Gardner-Webb in their first game (while we struggled against them).

Thoughts?

I think we "can", but playing in porta john w/out Ro will really be tough. We'll have to shoot well, especially from behind the arc. Clemson, while not looking all that strong under the rim on paper, has more than enough to out muscle us on the inside, which isn't saying much. We will really miss Ro in this one.

I do like the fact that we went out & got some players to help us run a more up tempo style. We just don't have enough to make it translate into more wins IMO, but I'm glad to see the staff take a different approach & philosophy.

I expect the basketball team to do better than some predicted and maybe win some games they weren't supposed to. If we get enough good luck our way - which has been few and far between lately - then this team might make it to the NIT tournament. A lot of it depends on how Rolando Howell does when he returns to the lineup.
