He has 2 years of eligibility left. This past year was used as a Medical Redshirt, and he also graduated early... Making him eligible right away. Would be a great pickup for us.

RE: Recruit Updates
If we can land an experienced Grad transfer at C, we would have an awesome and experienced (minus Toews) starting line up.
PG- Toews
SG- Taylor
SF- Fornes
PF- Cacok
C- Potential Grad transfer?

Toews, Taylor, Fornes, Elmore, Cacok is the most likely linuep based on what McGrath was hoping for before the injury.

I know coach is high on Elmore, but for the life of me I have a difficult time seeing him as a starter with the limited exposure we’ve had to him on the court his freshman year.

Unless Elmore has a lot in the tank than I saw when he played in high school I would be shocked if he can stay on the floor in the CAA. He has to flat out drill shots is about the only way I could see it having a chance to work. The good news is he can shoot the ball and he has to be in better shape than he was in high school. The staff really helped Bryan develop and maybe they do the same or better with Elmore.

Mullet, please keep this thread for recruits. That's why I started the "way to early" thread. If it continues to get traction, I'll pin that one so we have spot to consistently chat about our bball future, and continue to allow this thread to be our "Recruits" thread.
Thanks!

RE: Recruit Updates
A lot of the recruit talk lately has been focused on Toews, and deservedly so since he has a very good chance of being our starting PG. I thought I'd get the buzz started on Jaylen Sims. This kid has amazing potential, as he's been having a great senior season for one of the top prep programs in the state. Below I have posted an article about him. 6'6 Wing, with a 6'10 Wing Span! Also, picked us over some impressive offers from some quality mid major programs and even a P5 school. Kudos to the staff on this find.

He's going to be a really good weapon, and deservedly so! My only question is, can he be a good 2-way player? Maybe not Josh Jackson good, but how is he defensively? Our style is a lot different this year unlike the Keatts era where it was run up the pace and only shoot 3's. Anyways, super excited to see what he can do in a Seahawk uniform!

Hard to tell without seeing him in person how good he can be defensively. His size and length are impressive, and mix that in with some Jackie Manuel coaching we can only hope he ends up being a good two way player.

Man bun! Also Northern Iowa just offered him too. They are a pretty good mid major.

RE: Recruit Updates
At least McGrath is looking at players with more than just offensive talent though.
