JMU announces that Jimmy Moreland, Rhakeem Stallings and K.J. Ford are suspended indefinitely from the team.

I just looked at the time stamp for the initial post - it's 5 minutes in the future. Creepy.

Nobody does buzzkill like JMU. Between this and the coaches for the past two weeks I have no idea what to think. Ugh :/

I wonder what we can make of their being "suspended indefinitely." Sounds like something less than, for example, what Nation received, right? They could all still be back this season?

rumors flying around about this, one is that it involved stealing checks out of student mailboxs. No on is irreplaceable and no one is above the law, I applaud the coaching staff for actually doing the right thing. I am sure in the coming days more will come out. Bottom line is there has to be accountability for actions..and it is a privilege to play at JMU and if these kids can't figure that out they don't deserve to be a part of a team where 90+ other young men do what they are suppose to do and don't embarass the team or the university. Next man up...

"Kids" some find out the hard way and its very difficult to watch play out. And this is prolly about the avg percentage of athletes on a team who get in trouble , prolly between 1-2%.

I think Nation did receive an indefinite back during the 2013- 2014 season and it lasted one game. I believe it had something to do with academics.

I wonder if the DC change is related to this as well?

I was unaware that people actually still mail checks. Even back in the day my parents never mailed checks - and that was before online banking, etc. I'd have to think that stealing checks out of mailboxes (and then presumably trying to cash them without an ID somehow) is not the shortest path to fortune and riches. Call me skeptical on this one. I certainly hope it's not true, as it certainly does not seem to be the most well thought out (or intelligent) plan if it is.

Again, just a rumor...whatever the case may be, it was enough to get them suspended. Here is some food for thought, most people don't wake up in the morning thinking this is a really good day to start doing offense x,y, or z. These things possibly have been going on to some degree for a while and these 3 got caught doing something that they obviously should not have been doing..do the crime suffer the sentence plain and simple....

I hope for their sake they don't blow their chances at a degree from JMU
