Good point. I forgot the only 2 games we played this year were against ECU and Tulane.

Apparently, because I fail to see how a guy who struggles to get minutes for a ****** Ball State team could play for a team that is gonna make the tournament.

i'm not trying to pick a fight, but the fact that JDIII is doing poorly at Ball State doesn't guarantee that he would have struggled/done poorly at UC. i was glad he was able to go closer to home but i was sad to see him leave. He seemed like the type of player that wasn't afraid of big shots and big moments. Strictly my opinion.

Nothing against Jeremiah the person, but if you can't kill it at Ball State, I have no idea how you could even contribute at UC.

You have your opinion, i have mine. Do you remember Aaron McGhee?

UC played like garbage for most of the game on Saturday and they were still in position to win the game until Tulane makes a prayer at the buzzer. I am not happy with the last few weeks from the Bearcats but I tired of the negative outlook on everything. For the most part the computer rankings don't lie, UC is somewhere between the 30th and 50th best basketball team in the NCAA this season. That could be good enough for a single digit NCAA tournament seed or a high seed in the NIT, depending on how things play out. In my view that makes every game exciting, frustrating, and must watch. Most pre-season predictions had UC around the NCAA bubble. I understand wanting a top ten team every season but people forget the foundation for those types of teams start with a young team growing up.

Anyone else have a suspicion that Mick will try to come back early? I think watching games on TV is probably 10x more stressful than being there and having some control.

If he did it would be against medical advice. I am guessing the athletic department would not allow him do it. If he were to sustain a stroke they would potentially face a costly lawsuit.

He has a checkup the week of the NCAA tournament. If he is cleared, he will be back. If not, he won't. I see no way he is back before then.

Agree. I think what people were saying was he would come back earlier than that. I was clarifying that I don't think UC will let him. If I am not mistaken Mick's follow up will entail repeat diagnostic imaging studies.

Are you serious? Where did you get your law training? If he came back it's because he decides to. It is not UC's responsibility to stop him. Obviously they would require medical clearance.

Of course his estate could sue, anybody can sue about anything, but winning is another thing.

Chances of Mick coming back this year are slim/none, to me. Getting the life insurance in place given his new ailments is not a quick process. I'm sure they're already getting ducks in line, etc. but it's not overnight.

Time for us to come together and sing this lyric appropriate Philly Soul song from Three degrees to their appreciative yet unenergetic white audience.
