MSU up 2-0 late 2nd on Penn State. Nothing awakens a dormant offense like playing defense-less PSU.

I don't ever want to hear Dan Kelly say the word "rivalry" ever again when talking about Wisconsin and Ohio State.

Some observations with two weekends remaining in regular season play.

Minnesota is clearly the best team in the league. They have the depth and goaltending in Wilcox to win it all. Whether they do, or not, is as always TBD. Though as I type that PSU takes an early 2-0 lead in the Saturday game vs PSU.

The second half of the season is boring, same old six teams rotating. At least with the CCHA, even if it was scUM-MSU focused, you still had a wide variety of opponents. Wisconsin sucks, I'd rather not watch them. Though...

...Wisconsin is playing pretty good right now. They beat MSU on Friday night. I haven't watched the second game yet because I'm watching the Saturday MN-PSU game right now.

IMO The Big 11 tournament at the Joe will be so anti climatic. Two good teams, two mediocre and two bad teams.

I watched the MSU-PSU game on TV a couple weeks ago and was bored out of my skull. PSU has to be a special kind of awful to make MSU look that good.

PSU is a great team to play if you're in a scoring slump. They don't play defense and they don't have much depth.

BUMP. Watched the Big 11 semis this AM. Adam Wilcox looked pretty good Friday as OSU had a much better offensive showing than usual. UM completely overwhelmed MSU as well. Hildebrand kept them in the game for about 2/3 of it but then it all boiled over.

I like the Goofers in the Big 11 title game tonight.
