RE: What happens when Texas finally leaves for the Pac-12?
It absolutely astounds me how seemingly intelligent persons can continue to think in such an insane manner as thinking Texas would end up in the PAC.
Twice the PAC has tried to lure Texas and that was at a time where there was zero competition with an opposing offer for Texas to consider. We are now at a point where Texas's options are much more open and they have done a wonderful job at getting the GoR in order to improve their negotiating clout for the current talks.
How can people still think Texas would go to the PAC after they have already said no TWICE and during the second no they also said they would go join The ACC if Oklahoma left for The PAC?
That is a resounding no. Also, there is less chance of having two Kansas schools in the Big Ten than there is having two Iowa Schools in the Big Ten. At least in Iowa both are AAU members. If a low value brand school that is doubled up in a small population State with the stronger brand school, it is extremely unlikely they get a vote in The Big Ten.
It is astounding that people are learning so slowly. Pay attention. Things change. Evolve.

Or more likely a pac 20 with 2 more from baylor, tcu, iowa state, new mexico, byu, etc. In the event of a pac 18 or pac 20, the big 12 dissolves with any left out school going to the aac
a bit before we had Larry Scott flying around hitting those b12 schools with invitations, Scott Woodward mentioned some options up to including creating a 20 team conference with the Big 12
