Plastic Trash everywhere....no end in site
Shockingly I don't hear any of our politicians talking about this because they are clueless. The world needs to find a solution to our plastic trash ASAP....very, very depressing. Fraud liberal and conservative politicians and pseudo-environmentalists debate from their pulpits the possible effects of rising ocean levels through global warming but don't even talk about this CURRENT ocean/fresh water destruction because it doesn't help them personally. But hey... There are always more important issues, right?

This just goes to prove what I have long believed: The world needs more garbage cans.

It looks like a floating version of Pakistan.

If there is so much money in recycling, why doesn't someone take a ship out there, scoop up all that garbage, and melt it down into new paper and plastic bottles ?

Recycling is a good thing. I even recycle my condoms. Rather than throwing them out the car window, I save them. Just turn them inside out, rinse them off, and they're as good as new. Saves me money, too, so I can afford to pay someone I can use them with.

The trip alone may not cover the cost, plus they would need some way to get it on the boat, and then the question is - how much can they fit on one boat? It could be worth it, but I'm sure in the minds of most, it's probably not very profitable.

Stop buying synthetic fabrics and you'll be doing something, instead of just blathering on a message board.

Woah, woah, woah. Let's not ask too much of these "environmentalists".
