RE: college football map
Would be more interesting if 35% of FBS weren't excluded from their research.

But it is fascinating how well state borders tend to be respected.

Very cool map.

UConn looks more dominant in its area than BC in Boston or Rutgers in New Jersey.

After 15 years, we're still taking baby steps. Any positive sign is welcome.

UC doesn't even own Clifton or any of the surrounding areas. I guess that seals the B12 invite as a no-go. This map is far from scientific.

This is the same map from a couple of months ago.

IT's not 1/3 of FBS, it's a handful of programs that, as far as I can tell, were excluded from the dataset because of the way they set up their athletic department/football program Facebook pages.

UC just isn't in the data set for some reason.

It's been pointed out that certain programs (e.g. Cincinnati) were not even listed and, therefore, appear to have zero support in their own state. Very misleading data.

I think the information on the Northeast is accurate. And VT comes out looking pretty good.

Yes, the VT Kingdom would fit in well as an addition to The Big Ten Empire.
