Ryan Yip and Jon Mills will play in 2 separate 2nd Stage Q School events next week.

John Hahn is about to start the European Tour's final stage of Q School tomorrow. Unlike the PGA's Q School, you can directly qualify for the European Tour from their Q School.

I thought the final round of Q school for the PGA tour, whatever the number is, those guys get cards. Has that changed?

Yes. You only get cards for the web.com tour. To get to the PGA tour, you must finish in top 25 in regular season of the web.com tour or top 25 in a final series where you face off against the Top 75 of the web.com and 126th through 175th in the Fed Ex Cup from the PGA tour.

I think this is the 3rd season they've done it this way.

RE: KSU Golf in the pros: 2015 thread
Ok, Q School time:

* John Hahn did make the 72-hole cut at the European Tournament Q School and is tied for 51st. He'll need to finish in the Top 25 to improve his standing, which will probably mean the opportunity to make a few more European Tour events. That said, he will still likely be able to play 15 or so European Tour events no matter what happens because of his performance on the Challenge Tour this year.

* Jon Mills and Ryan Yip are in action this week. Check out: https://pgatq.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/pgat.../index.htm

Mills was +2 in the first round in Florida, which will need some improvement, but is an ok start.

Yip was -3 in the first round in California, which is a nice little start.

RE: KSU Golf in the pros: 2015 thread
John Hahn fell four shots short in the European Q School and will remain in Category 16 for next year's European Tour. Frankly, he needed to have a good day today and he didn't. That said, he should be able to play about 15 to 20 European Tour tournaments next year and can play as much as he likes on the Challenge Tour.

Through 2 rounds of the 2nd Stage of the web.com Q School, Ryan Yip is tied for 10th (2 solid rounds) in California. Jon Mills is tied for 70th in Florida after 3 rounds. The top 20 from each site advance to the final stage to join Kent alum Mackenzie Hughes who has already qualified.

And John Hahn on the Twitter:

It was a long year of close calls.. Came out on the wrong side of all of them. Best thing about golf- there's always next week! #dunhill

Dunhill is the first tournament of the new European Tour season in a week, so John's going back out there. I've got to believe he's got a big tournament in him this year.

Yip finishes tied for fifth and advances to the Q School final stage.

Mills didn't qualify.

The final stage starts December 10th.

KSU Golf in the pros: 2015 thread
This is from a British golf betting commentator (they love to wager on golf in Britain) who thinks Taylor Pendrith is a web.com star in the making. And he hits it farther than just about everyone.

They basically have moved to a new site that was in "beta" last time I checked.

I haven't posted there in a good while.

After his round, Pendrith in 18th place at the Web.com Q-school. The round is almost over. Today was round 4 of 6.

Yip and Hughes tied for 24th place with each having a couple of holes to go.

The top 25 get Web.com cards for this season.

Ax,

Got a few things wrong because of the recent changes...

1) The top 45 get web.com cards.
2) It's only 4 rounds. It ends today.

And the good news. Pendrith (15th) , Hughes (22nd) and Yip (37th) all qualified for the web.com tour!

All good. This will probably conclude the 2015 thread. Lots of good stuff to watch for in 2016.
