Rice vs. Arizona Baseball Tickets
For those roadtripping to Tucson next weekend for the Arizona series at Hi Corbett Field, just an FYI-- the U of A ticket office will only allow purchase of General Admission seats, with no designated seat assignments. Seating behind the Rice dugout (3rd base side) will be first come, first serve. The good news is the tickets are just $8.00/game.

Amazing how Pac12 baseball doesn't draw. The last time there I don't think there were 500 people at the games.

Thanks for the info, Walt. I'll be there, although it doesn't really matter in my case since I typically buy the cheapest tickets I can for any sporting event.

When the two teams played in Tucson in 2011, the games were on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, so the midweek apsect might have hurt attendance (and it may have been UA's spring break that week as well). One interesting thing to note is that it won't be the same site as the last series. Sancet Stadium was torn down in 2012 so as to build a new parking structure on the site (it was adjacent to the football stadium, and the parking situation for football games was especially dire, even though there already was one parking garage next to the stadium).

Just to clarify pricing...

$8 online plus $3 per game (not order, not ticket) fee for print-at-home or mobile ticket (and a ridiculous $8 for will-call). $10 at the gate. $3 less per ticket for Seniors. Oh, and if you choose print-at-home and forget the tickets, they charge $10 at the gate to reprint them.

So, if you are buying just 1 ticket, as I currently am for Sunday, do it at the gate. If you are buying more than one, buy online (which you can do up to an hour beforehand).

Haven't been down to Hi Corbett yet, so am planning on getting there a little early on Friday.

Oh, and since it's off campus, there's beer.

If I read the U of A baseball website correctly, you can get tickets at the McKale Center ticket office on campus for the listed $8 without any add-on fees whatsoever. I'll test that out later today and get tickets for all three games. Also, Hi Corbett Field doesn't open for spectators (and ticket sales) until one hour before gametime, so there's no point in coming earlier than that.

My favorite quote from that online review ...

Also, Hi Corbett Field doesn't open for spectators (and ticket sales) until one hour before gametime, so there's no point in coming earlier than that.

I got the tickets. They're $8 each at the McKale Center ticket office (you can buy reserved seating behind home plate for $10). They'll ask for the same information as getting them online would (name, address, phone number). The ticket seller (who volunteered that she is from Texas) asked me if I was age 55 or older, so I presume that's the cutoff age for the senior discount. Parking is hideous; there are some metered spaces along Enke just east of the McKale Center that charge $0.55 for 20 minutes (credit/debit card only). However, there are signs posted stating that the entire street is closed for the basketball game Saturday from 12 noon to 11 P.M. (and, indeed, half the street is already closed for the ESPN Gameday production crew). Otherwise, you'll have to park in the parking structure next to the McKale Center (where I parked for the baseball games in 2011) that charges $2 for the first hour.

If you don't want to brave the U of A campus, as noted previously one can get tickets at Hi Corbett Field starting one hour before game time for $10 general admission ($12 reserved). The field is part of the Randolph Park complex, which among other things contains the zoo, municipal golf course, and sundry other recreational fields. Parking is plentiful, and seating will always be available (the field's listed capacity is 9,500, and the Wildcats have never come close to selling it out).
