I was going to point out that we are actually tied for third, bit realized that we lose the tiebreaker to UTEP. So yes we are 4th, but if you are using tiebreakers, we were never in first anyway. To be correct, your post should then read " from second to fourth"

Win the next two and we are at least in 3rd. Not gonna be too much of a difference in the quality of team in 6 and 7. The 4-5 quarterfinal game is not what we want.

Tournament held tomorrow, we get a buy then play winner of 5) Old Dominion vs 12) Charlotte.

I don't want to play Old Dominion again after we beat them so badly.

There's still a lot of basketball to play this year.

Technically weren't we really in third? WKU and la tech had better records than us. We were 1-1 with latech, so their superior record overall had them In front of us.. Still disheartening to drop a spot in the rankings..

There are a lot of games left to be played among the Top 5 teams. UTEP plays ODU Saturday, so we can get one back against the loser of that game if we beat Rice.

WKU's remaining schedule is not favorable. They have three straight road games vs Marshall, UAB and MT, F_U at home, and road games at Charlotte and Old Dominion.

Three way tiebreaker is record among the teams tied. Before tonight's games, La Tech was 2-1, UAB was 1-1, and WKU was 0-1. So the tiebreaker gave us second place.

I said MIGHT not WON"T. And that seemed to be a very reasonable prediction at the time.

Still some hard games for the teams in the top half of CUSA. And many against each other. Long way before the regular season title will be decided.
