$25 for Sling+Sports, $6 for Netflix and ? for ISP? Hmmmm

Sling works with a few different things. Roku, Fire, X-Box. I think Google Chromecast is next.

Does anyone know what the tv schedule is going to be for the CUSA tournament?

I think it is either on Fox Sports 1 or CBS Sports. Championship game might be on regular CBS. Can't remember for sure. Either way, Sling isn't going to help you for it.

Yeah. I know I won't get the championship game but I'm hoping ASN will show the 1st and 2nd rounds.

The first 2 rounds are on ASN.

The semi-finals on Friday are on CBSSN. The championship game on Saturday is at 2:30pm CT on FS1.

RE: OT: Sling TV deal
I used my Sling Tv all day yesterday and overall, I think it's the right move given the cost.

Two things that I notices however.

1. I got tired of watching nothing but ESPN commercials.

2. Sometimes that audio and video aren't syncronized and it looks like your watching a Kung Fu movie.

Yeah I'm not sure why that is happening. I have awesome good internet.

My vivint internet typically tops out at over 50mbps so I don't think it's an internet issue.

Do any of you have the sports package? I noticed some channels that aren't familiar to me. "buzzerbeater" and one other one that isn't common. What do you guys think of those channels?

Buzzerbeater is a college basketball version of ESPN Goal Line. It jumps from live game to live game with studio hosts commentating. Think NFL Redzone. But it's only games that are on ESPN networks; no CBS, FOX, Root etc.

Wondering if they will add more sports channels. Seems they are still negotiating with content providers

I cancelled Sling after the 2 week free trial was up. Still prefer Netflix and Hulu to the live channels for now. I probably will add HBO Now next month when it begins, and then possibly get Sling in the summer when the kids are home and bored, but I do think they need to add a few more channels first.

How much was sling and why can't you have both? I don't want to be tied to Dish any longer, but I never want to miss a Tech football game either.

That's kind of cool. That's the way I watch college basketball anyway when my favorite teams aren't playing.

RE: OT: Sling TV deal
I'm using a fire tv box to watch sling. I'm hearing that people use some sort of "Air TV app" to mirror their laptop content onto their TV through the Amazon fire.

Has anyone done this? How exactly does it work?

It's $20 a month, and additional packages are $5 more like sports, kids, news and info. During football season I'll add sports.

There's only a handful of channels they don't have I'd actually watch. Comedy Central and FX come to mind, FS1 and CBS Sports would be nice during football season.

It's worth it but you will get lag, buffering and pixelating.
