RE: AAC number of bids?
I think it comes down to, if the committee decides we are a four big league or not. I think we will have four teams that deserve to be in, but either Temple or Tulsa could get snubbed. If anyone but Tulsa, Temple, SMU or Cincinnati wins the AAC tournament either Tulsa or Temple will be knocked out IMO.

RE: AAC number of bids?
In theory I would think the top 4 would get in. But in reality I think it will only end up being 3 at large (4 if someone else wins the tourney). Last year the top 5 were all deserving and SMU got snubbed while everyone else got questionable seeds. In a "down" year for our conference I would expect another deserving team to get snubbed, leaving us with 3 at large bids.

RE: AAC number of bids?
I'm not too worried about being snubbed since we have the Kansas win which I think is gigantic, if Temple gets to 22 wins I can't see them being snubbed

The committee continually says that it doesn't look at how many teams from a league get in.

I think the big questions will be 1) Who is the auto entry and 2) Did any of those 4 have bad losses down the stretch or lose in the 1st round of the tourney.

Its not out of the realm of possibility for UConn to win this. If the other 4 win the games they are supposed to...you never know it could be 5.

Already tried for Cincinnati. Pretty much ended any possibility for Memphis to make a run. Temple you're next. Any team left thinking they will have an easy win in Minges this year better think again.

It isn't so much the bad losses. They only have one bad loss, their opener against Oral Roberts. Their other 4 losses are all to top 25 RPI teams. What is going to keep them on the outside looking in is that they only have 3 top 100 RPI wins, and only one of those is top 50. They have some opportunities down the stretch, but it might not be enough. They probably need to finish up 5-2, with neither of those 2 losses being to Temple or Tulane and get to the finals of the conference tourney to solidify a spot.

They also lost a regular season game to a DII school. That games doesn't get counted for the RPI or SOS numbers. But I'm assuming the committee will take that into account.

It's a Monty Python type thing...

3...MAYBE 4...

But 5 is straight out.

I don't think 5 is out at all, it is highly unlikely but if UConn wins in the finals over say Tulsa and Temple gets to 23 wins I'd say it is possible.

Extremely unlikely hypothetical:

What if UCONN wins the rest of their regular season games?

21-9 (14-4)

6-6 record against Top 50 RPI

Wins against Dayton (neutral), Cincinnati, Tulsa, Temple, SMU, @SMU

You're giving yourself too much credit. We were out when we lost to Tulane over a month ago. I'd say we were out before the season started. Realistic Memphis fans figured this would be an NIT year. So maybe you did "ruin" that for us 03-wink . We might not even make that this year. You may have even helped us get a new coach which is bad news for ECU 03-wink

I think last year's SMU squad would disagree.

SMU last year got snubbed mostly because of their ooc schedule not because of the conference although I still would have had them in

OK Tigers fans, who you want to see replace Pastner?

Come into Minges expecting anything easy at you're own risk.
