What's with the 61? That's 4 out of the last 5 games the Rockets have scored 61. That's just eerie.

Rockets' defense made the difference along with CMU's flat out terrible shooting

Few more games like that and Jay Ann may make the all-freshman team. She's had a few big games this season.

Sad comment! Did you say that we last season about our team? We played the entire season with more injuries than most fans knew about. It should have been easy to make positive comments about the way the team played tonight. The Rockets played great defense...PERIOD! Had good ball movement with everyone involved in the offense. Time to stop the back handed compliments. There were a lot of good things in tonight's game that you could have commented on. Instead you said "even if it was against CMU 2nd string." That was an insult to the Rockets and CMU players. Fact is, the coaches had a good game plan and the team executed it in a way that we all should be proud of! I am a believer in PMA.....positive mental attitude. Goes with coaching and playing. I respect everyone's opinion but for me it is stay positive and Go Blue!

A bit touchy are we? It was great defensive effort and an important win but there is no way you can deny that CMU was NOT at full strength with 3 starters out including last year's MAC player of the year----that is a fact, not speculation but a win is a win is a win. So just be happy with the win that breaks a two game skid and hopefully supplies the needed momentum for another road win at another tough venue against the defending MAC champs on Sat.

Touchy....really! Not at all. Just have trouble with negative comments. Every team deals with injuries. As you know, we have had our share over the past few years. Neither of us knows whether the Rockets would have won the game if both teams had been at full strength. If you look at the stats, you will find that the "second string" players had a good game. Give credit to them. I am not "touchy", just realistic. As a former coach, I live in the positive, as do most coaches.
Every team deals with injuries. If you have been following CMU this season you would have picked up on the fact, that they have not been outstanding even with Bradford in the line up. Watching them play against BGSU last week showed how much they have been struggling. I am glad you support our team but I find it offensive to both teams that you used the term "second team." I don't think you meant it to be offensive but to some of us it was. Did you watch the game on ESPN3? If you had, you would have seen the Rockets play one of the best games of the season. I am glad we can disagree and still be true to our Rockets. It is nice to know that the Rockets have a fan as loyal as you!

We DID play CMU's second string and Flying Dutchman said "fantastic" in SPITE of the qualifier. Sounds positive to me. Fact is Bradford has had our number for years. She'll be POY again and would have made a big difference. Enough? We'll never know. The ladies have knocked off two of the Wests' best on the road. If we can get EMU and win out on our home games we'll be in pretty good shape.

You're welcome. Glad to do it when I can. Looks like I'll be busy with something else tomorrow night during the men's game. I'm not too thrilled about the schedule change (my recollection is that this wasn't a Friday game originally) but I suppose that getting the Rockets on one of the ESPN channels is more important than whether or not I'm happy.
But just barely.

Just picture UT without Inma. CMU is without the POY (20ppg and 9 reb) Glad UT won, but you must admit with a healthy Bradford the outcome would have been in doubt.

Rockets were presented with an opportunity (Bradford resting her sore knee), and, to their credit, they seized it. Some teams suffer a let down in that situation, but UT has been good this year about winning the conference games that it should win.
Central and BG have been decimated by injuries this year. We've had our share, too. Since two of our injured are freshmen, we have no way of knowing how much of an impact those players would have had if they were healthy.

At the end of the year, and in 20 years they count the number of W's. It doesn't matter what the margin of VICTORY is.

Hey I'm really sorry I offended you. I meant it to be positive I am thrilled with a win on the road and meant no negativity to either team. Only meant to make a statement of fact and express my joy with a road win. Again I'm sorry and never meant what you thought I meant. Go rockets and get a win at Akron anyway we can.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with this at all. Supportive and states reality.
"Just win baby" is terrific but is that all we're to being forced to discuss? No discussion of development and abilities and putting things in perspective? The "W" may be just a "W" in ten years but how much does this win really say much about team development THIS YEAR, with CMU so weakened?
