Football season ticket renewal
HM has an article out today stating ODU sent out renewals recently. Has anyone received their renewal package? I havent.

We have not gotten ours yet. I thought the newspaper headline was very misleading. Ticket prices are going up primarily because there are 7 home games this year, not because of "FBS".

$30 per game, $36 for NC State. What were prices last year?

Yes. Right in the article: http://hamptonroads.com/2015/02/odu-foot...rease-2015

The biggest change is a "premium" price for the NC State game--$36 instead of $30. For perspective, JMU is charging $38 for their game against Stony Brook.

Also in article, ODU is receiving $1.1 million from the football playoffs.

RE: Football season ticket renewal
Well, I won't be a student at ODU this football season, so looks like I will be getting a season ticket. I will be living in Pennslvaina attending The Penn State University (I'm still a Lion 04-rock ). I will be traveling back only for the Norfolk State, NC State, and the WKU games. I saw the price was $216 (if you follow the ODUsports link). I thought that fee covers every game? Is the price really increasing?

RE: Football season ticket renewal
I think the renewals are sent out in a the next few weeks. (though article contradicts)

So its $46 dollars extra but includes an extra game. Can't complain.

CUSA going from $3 mil to $15.5 is nice.

RE: Football season ticket renewal
Haven't received mine yet either. Will probably be in today's or tomorrow's mail. I read the article, but will withhold comment until I get the package and have a better feel for the increase. The basics are: a slight increase in ticket cost; seven games instead of six; premium ticket cost for the NC State game. On the expense side: new stadium on the way; higher scholarship costs for adding personal expenses. It's not really a surprise that tickets are going to cost more, and it is not the first year that prices have gone up.

Looking forward to September!

Each game is only going up a few dollars at most, but there's an additional game and that adds another $36. If NC State wasn't coming here the prices would have increased $5-$10 total.

Renewal info has not been sent yet. It will be out in the mail mid-March. Online renewals will be available next week.

The 6 game season tix pkg last year worked out to be about $29.50 per game. But I think that included the printing or whatever fee of $5 or $10. The premium (padded seats)will be $246 and regular will be $216. Those prices, I think, are without the printing fees.

The increase ISNT shocking, or a surprise. I'm pretty sure that we were told prices would in increase slightly each season when we announced we were going to CUSA.

Nice work and very timely. From this I gather that our ticket prices are more than reasonable. Perhaps the following year, as a gesture of ODU sincerity to the importance of the timely construction to a new statium, ODU officials will add a $2 new stadium surcharge to each game ticket. By my calculation that would generate somewhere around $200,000. While a relatively small amount, it sets in motion a positive momentum and expectation for the future.
