RE: Football season ticket renewal
I wouldnt be against PSLs for the new stadium. A one time fee of $500 to guarantee a good seat for life is a lot easier than trying to play the points/donation game. We'd probably sell 10,000 of those. That could pay for a nice chunk of stadium right there. I'd sell the whole west side of the new stadium as PSLs, leaving the east side and endzones available for first come first serve seating.

They typically last as long as the team plays in the venue. However, a PSL owner can forfeit their ownership by not renewing their season tickets. PSLs can be sold and it has become a pretty big secondary market. I'm honestly not sure why ODU would ever do this, unless they really needed a cash infusion immediately. They get much more in donations from people trying to improve their seat locations than they would under a PSL plan. Let's say they sold 8k PSLs at an average price of $1k, making around $8m once. Or they could get an average donation of $100 for the life of the stadium (let's say 25 years) from the same 8k folks. The former makes $8m. The latter, $25m. Additionally, they avoid the messy secondary market that comes with PSLs.

Highest - $236*
Lowest - $216
Family plan - $186

I have no idea how much the box seats cost per ticket but per Harry Minium;

Quote:Premium season tickets - seats between the 25-yard lines - will rise by $36 to $236. Season tickets for regular seating areas will cost $216, an increase of $46, while faculty and staff and family plan tickets are going up $46 apiece to $186.

This of course does not include the donations necessary to get such tickets. I'm assuming you would need to give at least $500 to get premium tickets, raising that $236 ticket price sharply depending on how many tickets you buy.

I think it's 1K to make the list to buy the premium seats.

Thanks. As a young alum, my tickets last year were in the end zone. I'm not quite there yet to afford the premium tickets. So, I'm admittedly ignorant to the more expensive tickets in the stadium. I just know I need to give more.

They typically last as long as the team plays in the venue. However, a PSL owner can forfeit their ownership by not renewing their season tickets. Additionally, they avoid the messy secondary market that comes with PSLs.

One reason to do this would be because there is a risk that once the stadium is built we wont sell out every game. The newness may wear off after a while and we'll have more seats to fill. That could decrease the demand for tickets and many people may in fact lower their donations because it won't be needed any longer to secure a seat. Get the money for the stadium while the ticket is hot through PSLs. With this whole G5/P5 thing who knows what the future of college football will even look like. Better $8million in hand than $20 million in the bush. I'd concentrate on how they can find more tailgating spots. Like on the grassy field behind the elementary school and tops of garages. Thats where the long term donation money is, because people are enjoying that as much or more than the games themselves.

Football season ticket renewal
No reseating this year, correct? For some reason, I'm thinking after the 2016-2017 season.

I believe it takes place every four years. Should be after the 2016 season. 2009-12, 20013-16.
