Seniors? How many seniors, Kasey Wilson and the rest of the seniors?

I won't go into detail because I know several of the guys on the team. They are frustrated by the lack of ball movement

LOL! Really?

Maybe if they stopped turning the ball over all the time...the "ball movement" would improve?

When McBride is working his tail off to get open underneath yet the guards refuse to pass him the ball, is that really the coach's fault?

Adonys is realizing, while a promising freshmen, you can't just jog around the offensive side of the court and get open...as he has to learn to come hard off ALL picks...something which I think he can easily improve on (and has done a few time in games...but thats the rarity).

Most diehard UCF Hoop fans understand that the team has been decimated by NCAA Scholarship Sanctions...and then the untimely season ending injury to Matt Williams...so for most games this year, UCF has had just 8 or 9 scholarship players...with the best 2 being true Freshmen.

Next year will be the first time in 4 seasons that UCF will have 13 scholarship players...and as of now, the recruiting class on paper (along with Univ of Tenn transfer AJ Davis), appears to be the best ever depth wise for UCF.

Those that follow AAC Hoops had UCF picked 9th this year in preseason polls.

UCF is now 9th in AAC standings.

Everyone (that follows UCF) knew this was going to be a tough season...maybe everybody but you.

DJ is not a victem of NCAA Scholarship Sanctions. He earned the sanctions. It is his fault. He should be let go at the end of the season.

You have the best answer in this whole thread. The UCF coach caused the scholarship reductions that the posters in this thread are pointing out. I hope that UCF gives Jones a lifetime contract. It was a crazy decision to hire him from Marshall to begin with, because he didn't do anything while he was there except cheat to get a bunch of academically iffy guys into school. So UCF should be forced to keep him as punishment.

Don't understand his fixation on a tweet from Gentry. He could be more productive focusing his attention on something else.

Thanks man. I carry the hate well. It is all in the game.

Seriously though; I liked your old coach more than I like your current coach. The old coach didn't get super talented kids, but they played hard for him and he was a good coach. Jones gets talented kids, but you would never know it; because his kids look like that are confused in what they are trying to do and Jones can't coach a lick. But he does offset his lack of coaching, by cheating. So there is that. Then again I hate cheating coaches, regardless of the sports that they coach. It is just me though, because a lot of sports fans don't seem to care about that type of stuff. They just want wins.

DJ is not a victem of NCAA Scholarship Sanctions.

Who is a victem/victim?

Don't recall ever stating that...and if you actually read the NCAA report...you would know that Tribble spear-headed all of the infractions...as he was the one that lead Speraw and his assoc head coach to start and use 3rd party contacts (i.e. runners, like most major programs), which lead to the recruitment of AJ Rompza (which UCF forfeited 3 years of wins over, plus his 1/2 a year suspension), and DJ, under the pressure of the person who hired him, kept it going.

Don't think anyone is a victem/victim...but to ignore the challenges of moving up to AAC Hoops while having major scholarship and recruiting sanctions (i.e. no other coach would have taken the job during this time), well, guess there is nothing to discuss.

Go ahead...fire him now...good luck getting any of those 4 signees, including Tacko Fall into school this fall.

KnightLight. It sure sounds like you are saying DJ is a victem/victim.

Don't understand his fixation on a tweet from Gentry. He could be more productive focusing his attention on something else.

Did you try to read it?
Twitter or not, it is no excuse for writing/talking like that.

PirateMarv I respect the pureness of your UCF hate. 01-ncaabbs

A lot of people miss Kirk. He was a class act.

No...just pointing out that decisions made before and during DJ's UCF Career (most made by others) are the reason UCF has been hammered with NCAA Sanctions...and that have hurt the depth/quality of UCF Basketball over the last 3 years...yet others seem to have no clue what sanctions hurt the program. Maybe some didn't even know UCF was on probation with scholarship/recruiting sanctions again them?

Even UCF AD Stansbury "approved" DJ using one of their few scholarships this season on a redshirt transfer from Tenn (AJ Davis), who will have 3 years of eligibility starting next season...as even Stansbury knew this year was going to be rough short-handed...so it was wise for DJ to use that scholarship on the future...vs another at risk JUCO that might not have panned out (i.e. like Shaheed Davis) for a little short-term quick fix gain.

It is what is is...and yes, the past does impact the present...and hopefully, next year, back at 13 full scholarships, UCF can begin to rebuild their AAC Hoop Program.
