...for my son later down the road. If my boy is really lucky he'll be 6'0". I really like Moore's game for a smaller PG. Kid's got heart and hustle.

I hope you have athletic genes. I always enjoy watching the little guys, but it's a tough road...

I'm alright. I'll just be happy if he enjoys playing the game. Moore has a lot of fight in him. I like that.

That's a great attitude to have. How old is your son?

Should also clarify, my statement was geared more towards if you have aspirations for him being a high-major division I player. Obviously there is a lot to be gained from playing basketball even if a player isn't destined for a professional career -- not that it should stop a young player from aspiring to get there.

Only 14 months. 03-lmfao But... we've got sports leagues around here starting at 3 yrs. I can't wait for that stuff. He's a little firecracker so far, been walking about a month now.

Finally Nic Moore returns. He is a great player. He didn't show up against Cincy, but I'm glad he is back.

Congrats! If he starts out that young, there's no telling how far he might take basketball. It sounds like you have a good head about how he will learn/enjoy the game, so there's nothing but positives to be gained.

We actually have a 5'9" recruit coming in next year named Justin Jenifer. He's a low 4-star/high 3-star player. Very skilled ball handler and passer... not the most athletic guy and turns the ball over too much, but very excited to have him.

You've got to have "the chip" when you're under 6' and love hoops. Get out there and play your ass off, don't back down. I'm 5'9" myself but I never came remotely close to playing at that level. It's a lot of fun to watch the little guys that do though.

By the way, Nic is listed at 5'9". I've stood next to him, and I think 5'7" is more accurate. I love his motor though, and he is a very tough guy. Takes a charge like a 7 footer

Cincy had a lot to do with that. They had an excellent game plan in both of the games. SMU big men, on paper, worries the opponents because we are big and deep. Focus on harassing and shutting down Nic, however, and that gives you the best chance to win.

Nic is a great player, but when he gets frustrated offensively, it takes him out of his whole game, he doesn't pass or run the offense as well.

Great job by Cincy and their game plan. SMU needs to make adjustments to that if/when we play in the tournament.

Good luck to you and your son. You sound like a proud Dad. I'm sure you'll love him if his athletic development is closer to that of Screech, and he decides that the school mascot is his ambition.

he's got great peripheral vision from what I watched tonight. He had a few really good looks to the open men.

That little boy is my whole world. You're 100% correct too. I don't care what talent he has as long as he does something with it and does it with passion. 04-cheers
