80-73 over UNT. Not too shabby. UNT's #1 is a punk. Got called for a floor foul away from the ball and then tried to rush our team to start some crap, several times. Long ways from Tejas to pull that crap.

These kids are starting to take on D'Antoni's attitude. And stating to understand his system. Tonight we had 6 players in double figures. Its amazing D'Antoni is getting as much out of these kids as he is.

Ryan Taylor- Well he's just good
Aleksa Nikolic- Serb who has been in the country 4 months and still learning English and the college game. Kid gets better each time he takes the floor.
Justin Edmonds- Coming off an ACL tear, just now starting to get confidence that his knee isn't going to go out again.
Austin Loop- A walk on last year that played a total of 17 mins the whole year. Now a starter, the best 3 point shooter at 42% and 2nd leading scorer.
JP Kambola- One of the most awkward guys I watched in limited action for 3 years. Now a decent big man avg 9.1 points per game.

The only one that was in Marshall's starting line up last year was Ryan Taylor. Three of the starts was dismissed from the team. And yes I count Kareem Canty as dismissed. He practically begged D'Antoni to stay but after the antics he pulled and the things he put on Twitter D'Antoni said he had no choice.

Kambola got himself a 3 pointer tonight. It hit the front of the rim bounced up off the back of the rim and went in. He was pretty stoked.

I predicted 10 wins before the year and still not expecting more than that, but the team has gotten better and I like their attitude. It's a refreshing change from the constant crying and disinterest that we saw under our previous coach. It will be interesting to see what Dan can do when he gets a little more talent in here.

He has some come next year with James Kelley, CJ Burkes and Stevie Browning. And we will get Shawne Smith back from his injury this year. I still think we need to go get a true point guard. Nikolic is more of a SG and not a point.

The fact that Dantoni is able to get this group of kids winning games is nothing short of amazing. People outside of Marshall just dont realize the extreme overhaul that was done after Herrion got fired. We are very fortunate to have Danny as our coach. Cant wait to see how the future unfolds with him at the helm.

If you watch Dan in practice you would never guess he was 67 years old. They guy has the fire and passion of of 5 30 year olds. He never yells at his players in a bad way. If they do something wrong or don't understand the play he will take them aside and teach them the correct way to do something. This has been most prevalent with Kambola.

When he gets his kids in here that will buy into his system from day one, I think that's when Marshall will start to be a tough out on any given day.

Yes, he did play at Huntington Prep for a year but hardly would consider him one of ours. lol He was not even recruited by Marshall. I believe that he went to Ole Miss out of H Prep.
