Recruits only care about going somewhere to prepare for the NBA. Go deep into the ncaa tournament and they will come.

I think the chicken and the egg came first.. or vise versa

By the same token, don't give away your tix to freeloaders who "probably" might not use them except for selling them to get a beer for the game.

As long as there are butts in the seats..I don't care. If for some reason I can't be there, I will gladly give my tickets for free if people will just be THERE.

Yep, i've done it most of the year.

Ah...so this mess of a season should really be blamed on the fans. Got it.

He didn't say anything like that. So now we're resign to making up things out of thin air?

Kudos. I cannot fathom anyone objecting to it, although I have not read other posts in this thread.

I also disagree that we were "outmanned" by Gonzaga

Correct !! After all, we were only playing the (currently ranked) #2 team in the nation on their home court. The fact that this is one of those rebuilding years which every program experiences at times has nothing to do with it, either.

A rebuilding year from a 4th place conference finish and an 8 seed?

I think the UT coach left because of a petition to fire him. Plenty of other ways to voice your opion. The easy way is to stop going to the games.

RE: I have a suggestion:
Weird addition.

You could show up and support our team, school, coach and university.

The complaints about the coach are very well founded, that perhaps on a nice day for a game and a good opponent you could simply have fun, maybe help the team win, and still have plenty of time to semi public ally bash the coach later to help you accomplish that goal of yours in ridding him.

I know the risk is the team plays inspired, wins nearly every game left, makes a stirring run through the AAC tourney and ends up with a solid overall season, but that downside is a risk you will have to take.
