Ohiosportsreport.com Story says OSU did not tell RB commit Webb that OSU running backs coach was leaving for Chicago. Cass Tech coach Wilcher is not happy.

The player's relationship had been built with the coach. That coach was the one that should have notified the player he was leaving for Chicago. I respect Coach Wilcher but this seems to be fault on coach Drayton, not on the University. It's like blaming the house because the father left the kids without saying anything. Doesn't make sense.

I read it as he was blaming Meyer for not letting Drayton tell he was leaving.

I heard that the RB coach was not his primary recruiter, but I am sure he was involved at some level. I would be more worried about who they recruited to block for me. Coaches come as go says a guy who had 3 different head coaches and position coaches in HS.

Coaches leave all the time for new jobs. On another site, someone posted a list of more than 15 assistants that left the day after signing day. It's happened at UT before. Commit to a school, not a coach.

The kid also committed to Michigan, flipped to Ohio State and now what? Wilcher played on the same team as Harbaugh. Any conflict there? And by the way, Harbaugh told the kid he wasn't recruiting any other running backs, and then flipped an Iowa recruit just before signing day. Welcome to the big time.

OK. Enough about UM/OSU.
