losing close is still losing...

Pastner has also never taken Memphis to a 9 win season...

His point is that we were also injured...why the hostility?

That's quite a line.

What's your best guess. I haven't seen UCF play this year (I know I've missed some good games) so I have no idea what to expect.

UCF fans: care to tell me anything about your team? I've looked over your Wins and Losses and stats and inferred as much as I can from that.

I'm looking forward to seeing BJ Taylor and BJ Tyson in the same game.

I don't think we have BJ back yet but then again it's hard to follow our team this year

Yeah but they were 15 point underdogs, that's not coaching it's just having a better team

Yes, recruiting is part of coaching...

Fedex and AAU backing can't hurt...

There are plenty of good recruiters who are bad at coaching up their talent and there are plenty of good coaches who can't recruit but coach up smaller players into better, I think lumping it all into one term isn't fair but again it's a pointless argument because at the end of the day who really cares

Plus I think any Temple fan would tell you how upset they were with Dunphy's recruiting up until last year, Fran is starting to fix those issues and I think fixing your recruiting style is a lot easier to shift than your coaching style

This is the weirdest post game congratulatory discussion I've ever seen.

I've never seen a group of fans that can't accept "congratulations" and have to argue over who recruits best/who has the best coach/etc/etc/etc.

This is just weird.

I'll try this again......great game, Owls. Congrats Owls and Owl fans.

Geez just take the win and stop trying to prove how good your coach is.

I'm fine with that but when you are using records without context it needs to be brought up

Right. Bragging about beating Memphis this year is like kicking a dog right after it was run over by your car. You had to run it over to avoid a wreck, but it's nothing to brag about. We are awful.

NO....you're wrong

Ramen hasn't used any records.

If you've got a problem with a particular poster, DON"T transfer that problem to others who happen to be fans of the same program.

You know what's really weird, the team that lost trying to one-up the team that beat them. Then demanding they stop getting red-a$$ed over being one-upped. Amiright, Memphis fans?

I get being upset but you obviously don't understand how message boards work if there is a debate going on and you expect everyone to just not talk about it.

I see your selective reading comprehension has kicked in again. It was UofMemphis who brought up records.

It seems like being Memphis provokes some weird response from some posters of schools here.

So give Memphis a hard time, not Ramen.

Exactly...

I say to them, yet again, congrats on your W...but why attack the opposing teams coach, after a hard fought game?

Jeez. I shut it off in the 1st half to head to a baseball practice. What the hell happened? Memphis was totally in control.
