the recruiting buzz was that sanford was a pretty big time recruit who had slipped under the radar a bit as he didn't quite come into his own early enough to be on the majors wish list. to see him fully emerge as a senior on a great team looks like it validates that view. also cool to hear how they are known for being an uptempo high scoring team that plays with a lot of unselfishness and passes well. that's how coach k's teams play when they are at their best so great to have another pg coming in who can continue that style. also, while it's somehow taboo to discuss race and sports, i think fans will get a kick out of a white guy like sanford with some ups who will throw down some dunks over his rocket career. there's a pic of him online rising for a dunk and he's about a foot over the rim. may not be the new jd, but will fire up the crowd if he can do that as a rocket.
