Exclamation Who will be top QB in AAC next year?
With everyone QBs maturing after this season. We should feel better at evaluating QBs in the AAC.

My bet is Gunner Kiel with the myriad of senior receivers he has coming back.

UConn QB: Tyler Davis
ECU QB: Kurt Benkert

I added the Poll. ECU, SMU, and UConn let me know who your QB is.

RE: Who will be top QB in AAC next year?
stat wise its almost certainly going to be gunner kiel (if he can stay healthy, which is a big question mark)

paxton might get it if memphis does good

keenan will break the ncaa record for most rushing tds by any player next season

PJ is a sleeper returns everyone and could bounce back from his sophmore slump

ward is the most exciting player in the league, could push for 1st team depending on the record they finish with

Lynch does need to work on his touch this season with the deep ball. He just has to keep grinding.

RE: Who will be top QB in AAC next year?
I'll take Ward with what we know of him so far.
Kiel will be good, but I don't think he will ever be quite what was expected.
Holman has potential to mature well.
Benkert should be good, very similar to Carden in his first year, but I'd be surprised for him to be top three right off the bat. The spring game should tell us a lot.

AAC has a good group of talented QB's that can make some noise on the national scene with just a few key OOC wins. Ward faces UL and Vandy, Kiel faces an improving Miami early in the year, Holman has Stanford and USC-e, and Benkert gets a rebuilding Florida and VT. Any of those wins will get a conversation started about the QB's given their play last year (Benkert exlcuded of course).

My guess is Ward/Kiel , Holman/Benkert/Lynch, Walker, the rest

4 horse race, and wholly depends on the QB you like.

Pocket Mobile QB: Lynch
Statsheet Exploder QB: Kiel
Running QB: Ward
Weird-ass stats, but that's what you get with an offense from the '50s: Reynolds

Still should be a strength of the league. I would say Kiel if healthy, but Lynch is right with him and Walker/Ward could take the step to get there.

RE: Who will be top QB in AAC next year?
As noted earlier on paper Kiel should put up some ridiculous numbers next year if he stays healthy. He threw for 3254 yards and 31 TDs in 2014 despite missing 13-14 quarters of play due to injury. He will be throwing to the same targets he had last year.

One thing that often gets overlooked about Gunner is that last was year was the first time he had played at this level after sitting the prior two years. He will be better next year simple because he will have a year of experience at playing at this level under his belt, an even stronger command of the offense and another year in the strength and conditioning program.

You all just HAD to go out and hire a guy who can create an offense around mobile quarterbacks...LOL

I voted Kiel, but I expect whoever ends up being ECU's QB to put up some pretty big numbers.
