Looks like they are just renaming or handing over the mental health property.

RE: BOT meeting today
And it was likely scheduled due to it coming up after the agenda for today's meeting was finalized, and as shady as they want to be with open meetings laws and deciding things in the dark, they cannot violate the provision that agendas must be finalized and published so many days in advance.

I got bits and pieces from twitter. Reading both Epps and Wagle's statements, all I can say is "WOW!" Those were outstanding. It is such a shame that the BOT then turned around and dismissively asked Watts about vaccinations following these two speeches.

Just read Wagle's speech. Wow. Just WOW! That needs to be published online and in the fish wrap. It needs to be posted all over campus and the city. It needs to be sent to the governor and the state politicians.

From Anjali Wagle's speech:

"Let’s repair that relationship to the people of Alabama who bleed Green and Gold or Blue and White."

Wonder what this means?

Birmingham and Huntsville, the two most progressive beacons of hope in our state, are getting denied freedom from our plantation masters.

Yes, but I strongly suspect Jack's call for legislative hearings was even more frightening. They'd give back football and give up control (including the SOM and hospital) long before they'd let outside eyes look at the history of coal leases, bond issues and concrete purchases.

Thank God the UABOT members are gone.

The air is fresher, the sky is bluer, and life is better. The darkness of the UABOT has been replaced by light, and goodness, and hope, and joy.

Thank God the UABOT members are gone from Birmingham.

Thank God!
