Watching UCLA on ESPN. They are a mess. Their offense makes no since, they just throw up shots. On defense they get beat on screens and back door plays. They sub a lot of players. Looking at their sked, they lost games to any decent programs (some very good teams) and get wins against also rans. They look a lot like the Tigers. About the same record too.

Steve alford's coaching career is puzzling. It is such a mix of success and failure.
It will be most interesting to see how his teams do at ucla.

Well scratch that. UCLA goes crazy in second half and is blowing Stanford out, so maybe not...

Alford always stays one step ahead of the posse. He did lose 3 first round draft picks. Still puzzling why UCLA fired Howland.

Howland was down to his last year for a lot of reasons.

So they bought him everything they thought he needed, including Shabazz Muhammad, to make it to final four. Some thought the team was championship material. Surprise! First game was a beatdown.

Well, Steve Alford is still implementing his scheme and roster. Also, they seem to be making a push for the NCAA's. In those two respects, they're nothing like us.

Really?

I think Really.

This is my new JOKE.

How many final 4 appearances do you need, in a 5 year period, to keep your job at UCLA?
