I don't think so. They hired him a while ago, but I didn't put two and two together until a few moments ago. I think Odom told Fuente that this might happen and he went out and hired a new coach. Also, it probably kept Fuente from being left hanging with an open staff position this close to signing day.

You're probably thinking of Brett Pry that was DL coach when Tommy West made Kenny Ingram DC when Pry already had DC experience.

If Guy is coaching Safeties then we still need one more coach.

We had Odem coaching Safeties, Scott coaching LBs, & Walters coaching CBs. If Scott continues coaching LBs now that he's DC then we need a CB coach. Unless Guy is coaching both, which seems like a step back to have one less coach on staff than last year.

One of the signees already accepted it and said its a business. It happens everywhere in college football. These kids get to play D1 ball and continue an education.

They should know its a business in the coaching world though. Probably shouldn't of said classy but I think it was a smart move to keep some from making a mistake and decommiting and not having a school to go to.
