San ANtonio in Alamo Dome would be a good place to start . They could switch it up a couple times. One time in SAn Antonio and next time somewhere in Florida.

I used to be on that bandwagon but now I disagree 1 trillion %

I loathe seeing championship games with 10 to 15k fans. It looks bush-league as heck. Keep rewarding the highest rated team and let's keep it there. Who knows maybe one day one of your teams will be playing for a championship in your town. Say no to neutral sites.

You and I disagree on what "works" means because I think the MAC made an overreaction by moving to a neutral site and I have never been I pressed with their games at a mostly empty Ford Field.

The only complaint I have with C-USA is they haven't followed the preseason guidance on the tiebreakers for two years running. This is supposed to me a major football conference, get your ducks in a row. If you follow BCS rankings, follow the official BCS formula (2013). And if you are doing a composite computer poll. Make sure the ones you list will have a ranking in order to be included in the calculation (2014). C-USA is 2-for-2 in winging it the last two years.

Of course it would be more fair all teams

I doubt it makes much dif in recruiting. Bottom line is lower attendance leagues make more $$$ at a conf school stadium.

The city supports UTSA and CUSA and its Texas and any form of Championship football will be supported by the locals

It might be the best bet for a neutral field site but a neutral field site isn't the best bet for the CUSA championship game. The conference is too spread out to have a neutral field championship game. If the game is in San Antonio that is a huge disadvantage to whatever team comes out of the east. The west team is practically going to be the home team because San Antonio is centrally located between the west teams and the east team will have to travel way further than the west team. I agree with everyone else saying protect the best team in the conference by playing it at their stadium.

I disagree. None of the schools travel particularly well if the game is more than a couple hundred miles away.

I don't think Detroit even works that well for the MAC, I like the way it is done now. It looks extremely bad to have the conference championship game played at an empty stadium.

Why would anyone want to punish fans? It gets expensive traveling 10-15 hours away from your home and then doing it again a few weeks later for the bowl. I'm sure there will be large sections of fans in the east that would have to make a choice ...

championship game or bowl game if the championship game was in Texas and most of us would have to make that choice if it was in Fla.

I don't have a clue about how many Tech fans went to Marshall but a safe guess would be 500 or less and with Marshall having a better (traveling) fan base I couldn't see that number being over 1000 if they had to travel to San Antonio Texas and Tech 500 to 1000. Western would be in the 500 range for Texas and maybe 700 for Fla. I think most schools would be in that range traveling 10-15 hours

If the C-belt wants to make itself more attractive then it needs to do like a pig and put on some lipstick. Thats about the only thing that would help. We are who we are and thats it.

Pretty sure you'll see some other conferences start doing it our way before we start doing it their way.

Then again, a conference championship game being played on Disney Field behind the SportsCenter studio might come before either.
