I know what you mean, we grind out wins all the time. Good teams win pretty and ugly.

FYI Tulsa's last conference loss was one year ago today at LA Tech. I think it's 22 straight conference wins. 10 & 0 this year and 12 & 0 win streak. Looking forward to hosting the pony's Saturday!

I think that is about to come to an end in a hurry, because the easiest part of Tulsa's schedule just ended. Tulsa's remaining schedule is against the top 7 teams in the AAC. ECU will be the easiest game left on Tulsa's schedule and that game should be a tight one if the last game is an indicator.

ECU talking some smack! Once again, congrats and good win against Cincy.

Watching the SMU Cincy game tonight, I couldn't help but reflect on how the AAC is so vastly superior to the CUSA that Memphis and others left behind in 2013. So I wrote a column on the topic, if you're interested.

That is literally every AAC team from 2nd to 7th place and then ECU in 8th place. That is a tough stretch even if 5 of the games are at Tulsa.

Agreed. Both SMU and Tulsa have tough runs in to the clubhouse. Part of the reason is that both have to face the other twice.

Congratulations Cincy! Tough game that I really thought we would win, but your team made the shots down the stretch and that was the ball game.

Good read. Temple did need to step back in to the picture and I think they have this year. At the beginning of the season I stated that I was thrilled to be in a league with Memphis, Cincy, and UCONN. SMU has become a major player in short time, an Tulsa has suprised us all so far (though the back end of their schedule looks daunting. We'll see what they are made of this month.

From here on both SMU and Tulsa's coaches start earning their expensive salaries big time. So far so good! Tulsa fans will find out what our team is truly made of from now and down to the finish.

Awesome read and as a Tulsa fan playing Memphis in CUSA was a nightmare. Especially in the conference tournament, as fans each year our goal was to just make it to the finals of the CUSA conference tournament where we expected the Calipari led Tigers to crush us as you did so many years. We thought we had a chance one Pastner took over but I believe only managed one win against you during his coaching tenure in CUSA. A part of the problem was Wojcik and his belief that Tulsa was just Tulsa and we shouldn't expect to be competitive with teams like Memphis (he honestly said something to that effect to donors once). We are excited Danny Manning took us back to the NCAA tournament last year. We are even more excited to see the Haith era, but more importantly we are pumped to see the university recommit to athletics and offer competitive salaries for the HC and his staff.

Honestly I don't think so. I think Brown will do whatever it takes to win. He's not beyond extremely subversive BS to get his team over the top.

Yes but you do this against a team that can shoot, not Cincy.

03-lmfao 56.8% from the field last night.

Maybe you do it when your own team can't play D.

Prognostication? Tulsa won at ECU by 2 points. If that is an indicator of what is to come then the game at Tulsa should be tight. That prognostication was based on a prior event. Both teams have the same strengths; the only difference being that Tulsa's interior game is better. That is not even close to smack talk.
