Jake is a great guy. Wish he could have spent his senior year bustin the opposing runners and recievers like he has done the past 3 years at UAB. Classy guy with classy parents who still love UAB.

Jake will always go down as being the man brave enough to tell Ray Watts to his face to stop letting PBJ tell him what to do. He deserves to be honored at the first game on campus.

I'll miss Jake and his family. Great folks. Jake and my son stay in touch. Working on AU UGA tickets but I bet Jake is going to have a lot of requests for those.

He said he needed to get away from the Auburn and Alabama crap. I wish I could.

Ganus will be in the NFL next year. Good player, good person, good Blazer.

When he's done playing, hopefully we'll have a coaching staff for him to join.

How about this for a future AL.COM article:

"UAB names Coach Zach Woodfin to replace long time, legendary football Head Coach Bill Clark. Coach Woodfin brings in Coach Jake Ganus as new defensive coordinator."

Sound good, yes?

Completely inaccurate.

By the time that happens, AL.com won't exist.

"In class, students [are] wearing Georgia gear; every single one of them has something Georgia on. That’s something new for me, and I love that. I take so much pride in that. It’s been a lot different, but in a good way. I couldn’t be happier to be here, and I’m so excited.”

Ouch
