I really wish I could be there Thursday night. This is a game that we really need to win.

Aren't conference schedules a 1-and-1 with all teams? I keep seeing them reference that we have a favorable conference schedule (to get us seeded better by the conference for the tourney). I know C-USA didn't schedule it that way, but there will always be conspiracy theorists. I just thought it was funny to see them saying that. Who knows who is going to be good and who will be bad? Based on our OOC record, I didn't think we'd be a game out of first at this point.

No. We don't play every team home and home.

This game is a coin flip. I'd like to think this coaching staff has matured enough to not get swept by a team that is no better than us. I'm hoping for a Southern Miss game repeat.

This year, C-USA has 14 teams and each plays 18 conference games. Each team plays five teams home and away, and plays the other eight teams once. Our five teams that we play twice are MTSU, FAU, FIU, La Tech, and Southern Miss.

I don't think the conference gave us an easier schedule because we are hosting the tournament. Nobody expected Southern Miss to be this bad, and MTSU has been a bit of a disappointment too. If the conference wanted to give us an easier schedule, it would have swapped the La Tech/Southern Miss games with North Texas/Rice.

No they didn't give us an easier schedule. Three of the teams we play twice tied for first place last year. And remember preseason, we were picked ninth.
