I think Seattle's OC deserves a ring more than anyone.

Wilson may have thrown the interception but the call to pass it in the first place is what gave Tom Brady this super bowl victory.

RE: OT: Super Bowl Champion!
Go back and look at the replay. There should have been off setting pass inteference penalties on both the Patriots and the Seahawks.

The play is designed to be a hybrid pick/screen play. The problem was WR Kearse was blocking DB Browner and the ball was not thrown behind the line of scrimmage. Technically a pick even if you don't make contact could techincally draw a flag from an overly zealous official, but Kearse was flat out blocking and pushing Browner back into the end zone. Should have been offensive PI on Kearse right there.

On the INT, Butler made contact with Lockette knocking him off the route before making the interception. By rule that is pass interference so long as the ball wasn't previously tipped.

Butler should have been flagged for defensive PI resulting in offsetting penalites. Replay second down.

Human nature in these cases however is not to interfere via officiating and let the players decide it on the field.

Pete Carrol thinks he's cute.

Even if Butler doesn't make the play there are so many things that can go wrong in that situation. Bad snap, a ball batted up in the air at the line, offense PI (which should have been called), etc.

It's difficult to fathom why he didn't give it to Lynch knowing they had timeouts.

I think a lot of MT fans had painful flashbacks of the UTEP game. Same situation. We run it in we win and go to a bowl game. Instead we get it intercepted and stay home.

With the clock running and two timeouts, 2nd and goal at the one, with Lynch in my backfield, run it on second, third AND fourth down. Even if he doesn't make it on 2nd, or even 3rd down, you bleed the clock down to nothing, run it again, and win/lose the game with no time left.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Simply mind-boggling.
