The average for this year is losing by 15.8 ppg.

Only 1 of the 8 losses has been single digits.

I do wonder what the average losses have been for the past few decades - which teams come in the worst.

Hum, I guess those that remember Coach Moe Iba can shake their heads when they see these comments.

Some good points have been made since posting that. At the time, it was just name calling by the usual suspects...

As of today, we've lost 5 games by that margin (WSU, Baylor, OSU, Tulsa, Gonzaga); we also lost 5 games by 15+ last season too. If we lose 1 or 2 more games by at least 15, we will tie or surpass the previous record for the least competitive Tiger team in the history of the program. Let that sink in a minute ...

Note: If you're thinking about SOS, the last time we lost 6 games by 15+ points, our SOS that season was #11. As of today, this team's is around #65.

Interesting stats...but it also shows that Memphis, almost every year, puts out a very competitive team.

Actually, since this team just set the record in a season for all Tiger teams of most losses of 15 points or more, it's a very relevant thread.

Guys like Triple A and I saw those games in person. It was truly brutal. It was so quiet in the Coliseum that you could hear Iba cuss, lol. It was dismal. I can recall games that were 42-39 with Dave Loos as high scorer with 9, lol. I ba had one decent year due to Mike Butler being a senior. Other than that, he presided over boring, lousy hoops. His next to last year, there was no one on that team that would even make being a walk on, I believe. It is so bad that we lost to Union University.

Yep, me too. And yes, it really was brutal, really hard to sit thru some of those games.

Point taken but it wasn't much better under Ehlers either. The fact that we have to go back to Moe says a lot though doesn't it?

The fact that folks go backwards at all for comparison sakes is absurd.

Guess we should never raise expectations given our history?

Pfffffft.

So are you still a bishop in the Cult of Pastner or did they promote you to Archbishop yet?

Interesting.

Now all posters even have to agree that this is the worst team in the history of tiger BB or clowns like you will being flinging poo at them with personal attacks and childish retorts.

What a joke.

Pot meet kettle with your original post in this thread which brought absolutely nothing to the table. Instead of coming up with an argument you decided to, in your words, poo poo on the existence of the thread. But you're not a hypocrite or anything.

Cool your jets HoopsDream, I want Pastner gone as much, if not more than anyone on this board. Pastner's not as bad as Iba, but in my opinion, pretty close.

Fail

I attacked the idea behind the thread as being blatantly false and dumb.

Both of you attacked me personally. Not a single post I made, but ME. That is the difference.

You already knew that before you posted, but you chose to be dishonest about it anyway.

Nothing new to see here. Just the same group of people looking for someone to gang up on with the same typical nonsense.

The word "boring" just doesn't cover it.

You called it the dumbest thread of the year. That's an attack on the op. Seems as if you can dish it out but can't take it.

You can play spin doctor with yourself all you want.

I attacked the idea/subject of the thread. He made a statement, I attacked it.

You attacked me personally. And you are blatantly lying about it afterwards.

Carry on, were done here.
