I hope you continue winning and make some post-season noise.
Hmmm basketball attendance seems to be improving. This season, we have started seeing the ~5000 numbers again which we haven't seen for roughly 10 years
It was 7000 plus for many years. I won't consider our fan base as recovered until we're seeing sell outs with some regularity.

RE: Tulsa Still Undefeated
guys quit trying to defend ourselves. Nobodys opinion really makes a difference. I'm a huge Tulsa fan, but I understand why many are hesitant about us. We are a small school with not a very big fan base. As much as we want it to, the name Tulsa does little for most people except for us. I say just let the teams do the talking by their play (but I understand that takes away some of the fun). I agree it's frustrating when others think a loss to us is bad because we are Tulsa, but screw them. Let them feel that way and hopefully we just keep winning. Our bball team has done well so far, but I haven't seen anything that guarantees a win against the rest of our opponents. In fact our last couple games make me worry. Let's see how it plays out before we get on our high horse. This isn't about those that just like to stir the pot, but those that it soo personally. I like being underestimated. It's fun watching the melt downs when Tulsa beats them. Just my opinion, not trying to piss any of my fellow Tulsa fans off.

Good post. Seems like many of our fellow Tulsa fans are too easily riled up by a couple morons.

Junkie, I know. I just hate when we start bringing up past accomplishments for reason of being here. Just makes me think we are trying to prove ourselves and to me the only way to change someones mind is doing it in the present. I know the post looks like I'm getting on the fellow Tulsa fans, but I promise that wasn't my intention. I know they just care about Tulsa and are defending them. I just hate when other teams use past accomplishments to try and prove how good they are now. (kinda like OU fans do after they lose a game). Again, love all my fellow Tulsa fans and who am I to tell them how they should respond.

RE: Tulsa Still Undefeated
The way I look at posting on these message boards is that its just a hobby to pass the time - if we have the time. A lot of us AAC fans have a lot in common with each other - we all obviously love our sports - we love our schools - we want to see as many in the league have as much success as possible against those other conferences and most of us give back in some way to the schools. So the way I look at it, we have more in common with our league brothers than we think and like all brothers, we occasionally have a spat over some trivial occurance. In the end, the arguments are based on how college students play a childs game. Its important to us, but its still just a game.

Exactly. It is all in good fun. Being upset at message boards isn't keeping me up at night. :)
Just having fun with haters and educating the masses. We need our conference mates to be fans too. It was great earning respect far and wide in CUSA, it is great to do it again!
I always, always cheer for OOC conference games. Even if I hated some school, not would still be in TUs interest.

For the most part I love the passionate fans most the teams in the AAC have. This is going to be a tough conference for anyone to win. All to the better. But I am really looking forward to when Cinci comes to town though. All the posts by the Cinci trolls is just bulletin board material for our team for when we play.

not sure with their defense you should be looking forward to playing them - in Tulsa or elsewhere.

I'd agree... But I think the away team wins both games.
