It happened before. Sam Craft was a pretty high level basketball recruit if I remember correctly but he is a guard. He was good player in high school though. Thought he was spose to play both in college? Who knows what's going on it's a mess.

No way Fuente allows this

(in all seriousness, hate it for Hawkins.)

Yeah I still don't see how Hawkins got mins over King. King is a top fifty recruit from memphis u leave the guy out there. Let him develop if it's a "rebuilding" year anyways why not give the guys with the higher ceilings mins to develop and gain experience. Seems rational.

Prob not but he was recruited by most sec schools for basketball. He's prob not some stud who would turn the season around but he could definitely help. You are prob right though not going to happen.

Not a huge loss for the team, although he seemed to be coming along some lately. I do hate for any of our guys to get injured, especially if it is likely season ending.

At least it shortens the rotation, making pastners job a little easier.

Wish him a speedy recovery.

He gets hurt ALL the time. Hasn't even been healthy, really. I had hig hopes for him and liked some of what I saw, but have been disappointed overall. Seems to be a pattern with a lot of these juco guys Pastner keeps bringing in.

I've been saying that about Cunningham, don't recall seeing anybody on this board say that about Hawkins but I think Wolken might have on the GP show. Wolken had a list of about half the roster who he deemed not D1 players, don't remember if Hawkins was part of the list but I think he was.

Haha as if. Football is the sport that matters they aren't gonna risk injury for basketball.

I doesn't look like they practice anyway, if they need someone let them practice with the women

Shamed to say I got a wayward nephew who walked on to the vol team and wound up practicing with the women when Pat was there.
He loved it.
