Colonial Check-In: Kevin Keatts and UNC Wilmington take flight in conference play

With a national championship and two Big East titles under his belt, Keatts has invigorated a UNCW roster that is nearly identical to last season's 9-23 team.

(I'm sure The Mullet will accuse them of "throwing Buzz under the bus"...)

Sometimes I wonder if we are getting a lot of press with this run BECAUSE Keatts is our coach. Think about it. We hired THE BEST coach without HC experience in the country. He has championship pedigree at Louisville. He comes to UNCW. Our program is turned around immediately. If we were having the same success with a different HC, I don't think the press would be quite as interested. Keatts is a guy the media will want to push.
