I didn't catch it all, but as I got into the car I heard Bobby say xxxx (didn't catch it) was reporting that ETSU was going to play Tennessee in Neyland in 2018.

I just turned on the radio at the office and he is talking about it now.

400,000 dollars, recruiting tool, lots of local kids have dreamed at playing at Neyland, this could be their only chance.

We are going to be playing a money game every year probably starting in 2017. Might as well play one against UT. Some will say it's a bad idea but I disagree.

I am for it but I think it should be for much more than $400K. Have not teams been getting much more than that lately? It is from memory but did we not get something like that from Auburn back in 1995 or thereabouts?

When ODU played Vanderbilt 2014 they got 1 million. Maybe the payout is lower because it is in-state, no serious travel plans, etc.

The payout is smaller because ETSU is FCS. Smaller FBS schools get a bigger payday to play a Power Five conference school -- one reason App State and Ga Southern moved up. But, it looks as if these money games are going away in the future for the FCS schools because of the new playoff system.

I live in Knoxville, I'll be there wearing my ETSU gear. I'm a UT fan as well, but I love my alumni!
