Very nice win. Great 2nd half. Talley's and-1 three pointer swung the game for us. He was the best player on the court today.
Bond does everything well. Fun to watch in person. That alley oop was insane.

The best part of beating western is reading their gamethread. A hilariously whiny bunch.

Looks like Bond has completely taken Price's spot in the rotation. Jodan didn't get off the bench in the 2nd half. Ditto for Perry taking Alvano's. He hit another 3 and played good D today. That was nice to see.

Perry,Bond and Nazione taking almost all of Price, Okoloji and Alvano's minutes.

RE: Game Day: WMU (M) and UB (W)
Dear Friends,
Being at the game today, some observations. I thought the major factor of keeping Western in the game was the fouls called on us. Eastern has many players that can be brought into any game, and play at a high level. Western's Thomas Wilder is for real. I'm glad they have some clunkers to go along with him. Nice to see that about 1,000 spectators were there, even though the MAC record hasn't been so good. Could have been more if their record was better.
I think this team could beat Western, in Kalamazoo if hey play like they did today.

Beside a great game by Talley, loved Bond.
Two blocks at the basket, some beautiful assists, finishes.
I still haven't seen the stroke on the three ball...

Dear Ken,
Why do you continually torture yourself like this. You get totally bit@h slapped a bunch of games and you latch on to reality. You win one at home against a team you always get up for, and you think you've turned the corner. Then the season winds down, you look up and your back in the middle of the pack and ousted in the first round.
Be patient Ken, it's a long season. Murphs gagle of mutts and strays are just as capable of laying an egg as winning anything. Seriously, I'm trying to save you from another round of disappointment.

Dear Chipdip,
Like I said on the Stampede, you guys are going nowhere this year, so I am not going to be disappointed with how we finish, but you will with your Broncos. I like the terms mutts and strays, because when we beat you it is so much more satisfying to know how badly you must feel with being defeated by such animals.

But it's so rare, and usually ends up meaning so little.
You beat us, we win the West, you finish in 3rd or 4th. We've seen this drill so many times I'd think you poor dopes would just settle in and wait for it to come crashing down.

Ken, Ken, Ken. Did Western fans lay claim to another MAC West title when we beat UT on the road this year? No. Why? Because it's a 16 game season with lots of ups and downs, lots of road games, injuries, etc. WMUs starting PG was out. It didn't help. But like every season, those who think the season is in hand on Feb 1st are often left holding their d!ck come March 1st. This happens every year to you guys and every year you get sucked in and disappointed.
Western are the defending champs Ken. They win MAC Wests like you draw 3 digit crowds..........often.
Now take a Bob Wickersham reality pill, and see how it plays out. If those mutts and strays that Murph puts on the floor can play three cohesive games you might be in the hunt, but history has shown that you'll lay 2 rotten eggs for every golden one.
Good luck Ken. I admire how you stick with them through thick and thin.

Actually Murphy's first year we won the MAC West not WMU, in fact Murphy since he became coach is about .500 against WMU in regular season play, yes as Dip calls us EMU's academic transfer malcontents continue to baffle WMU. Its really bad when at the half time some WMU fans come to my daughter and make excuses for the poor WMU fans sitting in section 108 and their poor behavior, one lady had a bronco head on a stick. Hm in some places that would be called voodoo. But ignore Dip he's too busy getting his stuck Broke Back Mountain DVD out his player.
As to the game yes Bond was impressive and late in the second half was playing the small forward position with Talley and Lee at guard. Lots of cheap fouls today for both teams. A lineup of Ward, Nazione, Bond Lee and Talley you may see more that in the future. Nazione really improves almost every game I see him which bodes well for next year. Bond doubles as human highlight film. Well we won two this week so....
