At least a dozen times on reports about this issue, I have watched someone on TV confuse PSI to the "weight" of the ball. Come on people...please.

I can understand the confusion though, p does stand for pounds.

Yes, they should be able to play with a completely deflated ball. That way when they punt, the ball won't bounce and they can just punt the ball so it hits inside the 5.

I don't care enough about the NFL to research it, but balls being slightly under inflated aren't going to help anybody that much. Besides, every team cheats a little. The Patriots are just better at it than everyone else it seems.

So sick of turning my TV on at 7am and seeing it being the #1 story on the news. You would think these "journalists" would eventually say, "I DON'T GIVE A SH*T! CAN WE DISCUSS SOMETHING THAT MATTERS?!?"

Or worse, because they keep getting caught and no one else gets caught. It depends on what you mean by slightly. There's already a range in inflation that is allowed, so balls that are slightly under inflated are still legal.

Former NFL QB Jeff Blake (13 year vet) just came out and said this has been going on for decades. Every QB inflates or deflates the ball to suit him. He said he did it in every game and so does everyone else. This is a non issue.

I usually complain a lot about the IQ of fast food workers. Then, yesterday, on my way to my basketball game something great happened.

I had 12 chicken nuggets in my 10 piece box.

There has BTW already come forth legitimate scientific proof that the PSI of any ball can decrease or increase due to atmospheric conditions. No one can say at this point that anyone intentionally did anything to the ball except inflate them in the range of the rule. No one.

The NFL didn't even check the balls before the game. The log book to verify they were checked is blank.

If they didn't inspect them, how did they know they were intentionally deflated?

Players have been inflating and deflating balls for decades. The Ravens got mad because Brady told them to check the rule book and stop complaining about the various Patriots' formations. The Ravens called the Colts and the Colts pointed out the balls to the refs because they were getting beat.
