Spy in my neighborhood?
a few days ago a Mail Truck pulled up to my next door neighbor's house and dropped off a letter, not unusual except they he flew by my mailbox (which NEVER happens) and then everybody else on my street, I then realized that it was SUNDAY.

I know that the Post Office is closed on Sunday, the gate is locked. There are no trucks out ..

What gives?

My neighbor did not get blown up so the truck did not plant a bomb, they had cleaned out their mailbox Saturday afternoon, so the mail truck could not have stolen anything, and why would they check only one box? My neighbor is not a jeweler they do not do anything that would have truly valuable items shipped to their mailbox...

Maybe it was a spy drop off point?

RE: Spy in my neighborhood?
The postal service dropped off an amazon package to my house on MLK Day. Don't think they worked that day. Still, delivering mail on a Sunday is odd.

Depends on how it was sent. I had a priority mail package delivered on Christmas Day.

I have never heard of this, I googled it and found that Amazon Prime delivers on Sunday. 04-jawdrop

I asked my neighbor and she confirmed that it was an Amazon Prime delivery by the USPS...

Glad to know it was not a spy, thief or hitman.

Yep, you pay extra, but they will deliver on Sundays and holidays.

RE: Spy in my neighborhood?
What I've found interesting is the trend lately for FedEx/UPS packages to be delivered to final local destination by USPS. I guess that's one way to keep the USPS afloat...

Cheaper too, USPS has to go to every house/mailbox while FedEx/UPS usually only goes to select few. So remove a few stops and there is a lot of savings there.

Yep. I hate it. I've had two day delivery on plenty of packages that ended up sitting at the post office for a couple extra days.

I get packages in my mail box here. Baited and on spring action...lol.

It's like the coyote thing..one howls nicely at ya to come play, while the rest wait in the bushes.

For $10 extra they can take out your neighbor. Only problem is that they will probably hit the wrong one.

RE: Spy in my neighborhood?
I've seen USPS delivery on Sunday here in Midtown a couple times lately.

I have also seen a truck roar up, the postwoman get out, and run up to my mailbox to scan the sticker in it because she must have fogotten to do that earlier.

On Ned's behalf I looked into this further.

We are all wrong.

It really was a spy.
