Probably 7-8k in the building
A good crowd for most SEC schools.

8k puts you in the top 58, ahead of Butler, Gonzaga, Oregon, VCU, Baylor

•Nobody should be alarmed or judgmental when fans don’t support a struggling team. Some folks are willing to stick with a young or inexperienced team trying to come together – some would rather spend their time elsewhere.
•The bottom line is guys like Blose will come back if and when the Tigers start winning big. Until then, the athletic department will have to stomach smaller crowds.
Something about that reeks of not being a true fan to me. I know it's been a frustrating season on many levels, and it's difficult to sit through a lot of these games, but if being a fan means only being able to jump up and down during the good times, then I guess I'm the wrong kind of fan. I still look forward to every game, anxious to see what the Tigers will bring that night. When/if they get their asses handed to them, I still pull just as hard for them the next game. Seems like many in the fan base are hoping for defeats to ensure Pastner's exit. I don't get that, either.
Overall, I do think this team has shown improvement. Probably not enough to appease the fan base or (maybe) the powers that be, but I still think they can surprise some people. Maybe that's naïve. We'll see. You can bet, though, that if the Tigers could find a way to beat Gonzaga many of the fans would return quickly.
Hey, nice win last night. Got a little dicey, but they did win the game. :)

If Pastner had been to the Sweet Sixteen for the last 4 years the same crowd would be calling for his head because he didn't get to the Elite Eight. That's just the way they are.

That crowd would be MUCH smaller and it would be easier to label them as the fringe minority.

For some, it's about more than just this season.

I get that, but it seems for far too many being a "fan" means supporting a team when they're winning. That seems crazy to me.
There has been a waiting list for Green Bay Packers tickets for over 40 years, and there have been many seasons in which those guys couldn't win an intrasquad game. There are more examples, for sure, but I think you get the point.
I'm not crazy about everything this Tigers team has done this season, either, but staying away because they're struggling? That's no fan in my book.

Punishing the players because you don't like the coach ain't my thang.
Players like to be cheered.
